Terms at a glance
This overview sums up the key terms of the Visolino website subscription in plain language. It does not replace the contract — it is here so you know what you are agreeing to before we talk, without working through fine print.
1. What the contract covers
Visolino designs and builds a custom website for the client within the scope of the chosen package (Start, Business or Premium) and operates it for the duration of the contract. The scope of each package is described on the relevant package page and confirmed in the written quote.
Included are concept, design, build, launch and ongoing operation of the website. Anything not explicitly listed in the quote is not included — for example paid advertising, photo production, copywriting beyond the agreed scope, or integrations with third-party systems.
2. Term
The minimum term is 24 months, starting on the day the website goes live. It does not renew automatically for another minimum term. After 24 months the subscription simply continues on a monthly basis until either side cancels.
3. Setup fee and monthly rate
The subscription consists of a one-off setup fee and a monthly rate:
| Package | Setup, one-off | Monthly | Total over 24 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | €290 | €109 | €2,906 |
| Business | €590 | €129 | €3,686 |
| Premium | €890 | €169 | €4,946 |
All amounts are net and exclude VAT. The setup fee is due when the order is placed. The first monthly rate is due on go-live, and monthly in advance from then on.
Payment is collected by SEPA direct debit under a signed mandate as standard. Credit card and PayPal are available as alternatives; the method chosen is recorded in the quote and can be changed during the term by agreement. Prices stay unchanged throughout the minimum term.
For context: at the fixed price, the Start package costs €890 plus 24 × €79 for Website Care — €2,786 in total. On the subscription it is €2,906, roughly 3 % more, spread over 24 months and with nothing to pay upfront. Business and Premium differ by a similar margin.
4. Website Care is included
Website Care is included at no extra cost for the whole term:
- Security updates and technical maintenance
- Regular backups
- Uptime monitoring
- Small content changes, up to 30 minutes per month
- A named contact for problems, response within one business day
Unused change time expires at the end of each month and does not carry over. Larger changes — new subpages or new features, for example — are agreed in advance and quoted separately.
5. Hosting is included
Running the website on suitable server infrastructure is covered by the monthly rate. Visolino selects the hosting provider and is responsible for setup, operation and SSL encryption. There is no entitlement to a specific provider or server location unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Visolino works to keep availability high. Short interruptions caused by maintenance, updates or faults at the data centre are excluded. A specific uptime figure applies only where the quote states one.
6. Domain
The domain is registered in the client's name. That means the client stays in control of their web address at all times, whatever happens to the working relationship.
Where Visolino registers the domain on the client's behalf, it is registered to the client and managed by Visolino during the term; costs of up to €20 per year are covered by the monthly rate. Where the client brings an existing domain, their contract with the current registrar is unaffected — they simply provide access for the technical switch.
7. Ownership of the website
During the minimum term, the website and its source files remain the property of Visolino. For that period the client holds a non-transferable right of use.
Everything the client contributes — text, images, logos, trademarks, data — is entirely theirs from the outset.
8. Ownership passes after 24 months
With the final instalment of the minimum term, the website becomes the client's property. There is no buyout and no closing payment — ownership is already part of the subscription.
On request, Visolino hands over the source files and the credentials needed to keep the site running. From then on the client is free to run it themselves, move to another provider, or stay with Visolino.
After the 24 months, hosting and Website Care continue at €79 per month and can be cancelled at any time. Anyone who stops them simply takes the website with them and runs it independently.
9. Cancellation
After the minimum term, either side may cancel with four weeks' notice to the end of a month. Cancellation must be in text form — an email is enough.
Because ownership has already passed after 24 months, cancelling ends the ongoing support only — not the website itself. The client keeps both the website and the domain. Both sides keep the right to terminate for good cause.
10. Late payment
If a payment is late, we send a reminder first. If payment still does not arrive, Visolino may temporarily deactivate the website after advance notice and a reasonable grace period, until the balance is settled. The payment obligation continues during any such deactivation.
Costs of failed direct debits are borne by the client where the client is responsible for the failure. If more than two monthly rates are outstanding, Visolino may terminate the contract for cause; the remaining instalments of the minimum term stay due and ownership does not pass. Statutory default interest is unaffected.
11. Relationship to the full terms and conditions
This overview is deliberately short and written for clarity. The binding basis of the contract is Visolino's full general terms and conditions, which are attached to the quote and form part of the contract. Where this overview and the general terms differ, the general terms prevail.
The quote applies in addition. Where the quote expressly sets out different arrangements, the quote takes precedence over the general terms.
